Hi,

as a newcommer to Q Cubed, I was searching a lot.

But most of the searches yields near to nothing.

Actual: I am searching for "informix", it gives me only one result.
Same to "PDO". There are much more posts, which contain informix/pdo.

My expecation ist, that when I search for a single given word,
all posts and comments to the post, which contents this word,
should appear as an result set.

Yours Bernhard

This site uses Drupal, which relies on a cron job to index the files for search. Looks like the cron job is not running as the search result is only showing older post on any topic.

While it may be inconvenient, you can use Google to search both Qcodo and Qcu.be at the same time. I.E. in Google just type "site:qcodo.com | site:qcu.be pdo" and it will return all PDO pages on both sites.

To test the search issue, look for "QcodoClassLibrary". The topic on this was started on 4/6/2010 and search finds 0 results.

I just ran the cron job manually (you're exactly right, for some reason, the cron job is NOT running on the server, despite the fact that it is in the crontab - shoot me, i don't get it).

Anyway, even after a successful execution of the cronjob, the search for "informix" returns only 1 record. There's definitely more than 1 forum thread that mentions informix. I vote for replacing the "search this site" thing on the website with an embedded Google Search. What do you folks think?

I think it would be best to get the integrated Drupal search working, but until then, the faster we can get something working, the better, no matter what it is. :)

Hi,

it would be nicer to have the internal search working,
because the information it more compact.
