Screencasts

Hello!
Anyone wants to make some screencasts?
That would be cool.
Even a not very well prepared screencast where a developer talks while showing off some basic stuff is really nice for someone who wants to learn about a framework.
What do you think..

Yeah we've thought about this for a very long time, me in particular. I think it would be really cool, probably promote the framework a bit better as well.
Yeah it is a good idea. Anyone that would like to make a video, please contact me.
It has proven to attract a lot of developers for other frameworks.
Imagine where this project could go with additional 10 active developers.. =)
I vote for short videos, so the information is split up in chunks like 1-3 minutes.
So only few videos would get obsolete when serious changes hit our roadmap.

I'm up for making a video. Any recommendations for the tools (under Windows)?
This tool is free and cool also swf converter included:
http://camstudio.org/
Runs stable.

I can suggest Wink. It's open-source.
http://www.debugmode.com/wink/
Both are open source. But Wink seems to be in development.
However the other one I have used already and is running stable. Very othen I have been disappointed by the lack of stability from these kind of tools.
Let us decide on one Image for the front:
I can provide the PSD file.. actually it is easy to edit anyways: Just fill in the content.
To be able to produce the video without much trouble, just load the image in the brower and there you go.
I do not think we need additional video editing or anything.
Quick and dirty is alright, as long as the video is informative and not boring.

I just created a new screencast, and am working on the second one; I also aggregated all our existing screencasts on one page: http://qcu.be/content/video-screencasts.
Anybody up to write scripts for the next few screencasts? I can do the production.
Just a note, the "Installing plugins" screencast from the frontpage leads to the "Initial Configuration of QCubed 1.1" screencast too.
Link to plugins screencast fixed! Thanks, akrohn!
Thanks, good work on the folks that made them!
And it's interesting to see what ide's others use ;)
