problem in a new installation of QCubed

Hi,
I'm trying to install one QCubed application in an apache server but I'm having some problems. When I do the first step it shows the message "Set the __SUBDIRECTORY__ constant in /includes/configuration/configuration.inc.php. Most likely value: "/assets" ". Here we have changed that text in the configuration file but it still doesn't work.
We proved to continue ignoring that message but it shows then one blank page.
Which can be the error here. What have we done wrong in these installation?

Often the "Most likely value:" tells you what you have to put there in __SUBDIRECTORY__ constant var.
I configure QCubed apps in a windows apache with out any problems.
Are you working with domains/subdomains created in apache for publish?

We did it. We put the "Most likely Value" but it still doesn't work, and after that we just had those blank pages. We did the same in other apache server and it worked but now we can understand what's wrong
It would be helpful if you could tell:
Which OS are you onto?
What directory is your DocRoot in?
Which database are you using?
