QCubed - A PHP5 rapid development framework.

You may notice posts like this on the front page once in a while. This is the first (unless I'm slow) of the blog posts we plan to make (we're hoping for 2-3 a week) just letting you guys know what's going on in the lives of the core contributers.

One of the goals of these posts is to remind you all that we're still here, and still working on things (or if we're not, then why, and that we haven't forgotten about it).

So anyhow, on to my actual blog post.

It's been a busy day today. We actually announced our first release, and let the public in on our secret.

The response so far has been great, with a large number of people coming forward and offering their help in moving things along, be it in documentation, code, or just adopting the framework and letting us know about any issues or suggestions they have.

Personally, I've been thrilled by all this, though I share some sadness that Mike Ho has not been involved in this process. If you read this Mike, drop us a line and let us know what you think, what your plans are, and what you'd like to see from QCubed as well!

This is great news!!

I met Qcodo a few months ago, did some experiments and I was really amazed by the framework, however the virtual inactivity with releases or bug fixes was a big concern that kept me away of doing any serious work with it. In the meantime I also started playing with other PHP frameworks which their community activity was very tempting, but none of them had what Qcodo (now Qcubed) has. Zcodo looked promising the first days but then it just suddenly faded away. I really have a lot of hopes with Qcubed because I think the learning process that their community and the developers have been through until now was worthy. The reason that Qcodo as a framework never died was because it has an inherent great potential within. It's sad that his father has left it behind (apparently) but I believe that Qcubed now is backed by a great team of developers and a growing community that will make this project one of the best around. Congratulations to everyone that made this effort possible and thank you all.
