Avoiding Problems when Installing QCubed on Windows (Article Link)
Wed, 07/20/2011 - 08:08
Installation on Windows fails and this is nothing new to people around here. One of the biggest mistakes which most of Windows users would ignore is the path to the DocumentRoot directory where they put QCubed files. Later this creates problems when trying to install the framework (I mean, getting it to work). This happened with me a few days ago while helping a friend who wanted to use the framework on Windows.
I wrote an article about that with some explanation:

Great Blog Vaibhav, by the way I was reading some of your entries but I can't find something.
Some time ago I read "How to" deploy a QCubed application into a production environment.
As I know some folders must delete (ex. drafts) for security reasons.
Can you make an entry in your blog about this? would be very pleasant if you do.
Regards and Great Job, JMI
Dear JMI,
I am very happy to hear some appreciation from you. Now, coming to the question about "how to deploy a QCubed application into production", well I have some plans on the path to documenting as much about QC as possible. But I cannot promise anything.
You however, have (surely) added another topic into the list I have currently. Since I am still a developer and have not experienced the deployment, I cannot say that something I write would be coming from experience. However, I will look at all the aspects possible and post the article link in the thread where I am posting the other links: My List of articles on QCubed
You can expect that being covered sometime soon.
